Learn about the innovative, ONC funded University of the District of Columbia (UDC) and Howard University (HU) program that recruits participants in the DC area (and now USVI – with a special emphasis on underrepresented communities of color) over a four-year period. This program provides students with specialized within-degree training, certification training, or short-term fellowship training in Public Health Informatics Technology (PHIT) across multiple pathways (AA/AS, Bachelors, MPH, Pharmacy/Health Professional, and Post-graduate fellowships) along the education continuum. Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency – CISA is the operational lead for federal cybersecurity and the national coordinator for critical infrastructure security and resilience. CISA states that it is designed for collaboration and partnership to support the mission to reduce risk to the nation’s cyber and physical infrastructure. This session will provide an awareness of the federal guidance, tools and steps necessary to secure and protect USVI critical infrastructure.
