Carlos G. Casals Rodriguez brings his strong commitment to the needs of patients and physicians to the intersection of technology and healthcare. One of the youngest executives in the industry, he currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at digiiMED LLC.

Carlos has played a pivotal role in developing and implementing remote care initiatives, focusing on Chronic Care Management and Remote Patient Monitoring for chronic disease populations. In 2021, he successfully led the implementation of the first Chronic Care Management Program at a Federally Qualified Health Center in the Caribbean, partnering with Frederiksted Health Care in St. Croix, USVI.

By extensively collaborating with primary care providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers, and specialists in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands, he has gained an understanding of the needs and concerns of patients and physicians regarding remote care, artificial intelligence, and the use of technology.  Including those perspectives in his work has deepened his capacity to develop pioneering solutions in favor of patients’ care and wellbeing.

Carlos graduated with distinction from Bentley University in 2020, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems.
